As an independent net and member of the National Traffic System (NTS),  the net passes radio traffic into and out of the state of Texas via Amateur Radio.  The net can normally be heard Monday - Saturdays  from 0830 to 0930 on 7285khz and  Monday-Saturday  from 1830-1930  on 3873khz Central time .  Our alternate night frequency is 3877khz.  In the event of an emergency event, such as tropical storms/hurricanes the net may be activated.  All amateur operators with a General Class or higher ham license are welcomed to check into the net.    OUR ALTERNATE NIGHT FREQUENCY IS 3877khz.

I put in a lot of time in both nets or actually all nets and trained many people. Great to see the nets are still around. A primary purpose of HAM Radio.
