Locked Bexar County and regional repeaters?

Paul Guido

My new office is full of test gear and radios.  That is because my new office is my old ham shack!

Here is a kit-built Elecraft K2, a Kenwood TM-731A Dual Band FM, a Yaesu VX-5R, a brand new Yaesu FT-450D, and many, many others.

Some of the older rigs only have a limited number of memories.  For that matter, somedays, I have a limited number of memories.

There is a great list on the W5sc.org website....but I cannot put all of these in an older rig.  https://w5sc.org/repeater-book/

What local repeaters are used by the EOC and ARES?  It is time to start making the nets again!

What local repeaters have active nets?

Paul, N5IUT

AARO has a net on Monday, 147.38, starting at 8:30pm with Amateur radio news line recording, followed by a check in net, followed by CW code practice.  On Saturday, there's a Nite Owl net around 10:30pm-?.

Roost has a regular net on one of their Southside repeaters, but I'm not familiar with it.

QCWA used to hold nets on 147.38 on Sunday, but I've not heard them lately.

Bexar County ARES holds a Tuesday night training net, 6:45pm?, on 147.18, except on their meeting night (2nd Tuesday).

SADRC holds a digital net (Fusion radios) and I can get you details if needed

Or...

At one time there were 2 traffic nets in this region on 2 meters. 40 and 80 area nets. This valuable system has seemed to fallen by the wayside in our area.
