The closest store is HRO in the Dallas area. Main Trading Company is probably next closest in Paris, TX.
D-Star does exist in San Antonio. The website repeaterbook.com shows at least one VHF and 4 UHF repeaters in San Antonio. The VHF one is run by Alamo Area Repeater Organization (AARO) whose call sign is aa5ro.

D-STAR does exist in San Antonio. Here is some info to get you going:
The San Antonio Digital Radio Club runs several: AARO also runs one: You can also create a hotspot rather easily and have access to the entire DSTAR network from wherever you are at. I use one at home and take it on the road whether RVing or staying in Hotels. Hope that helps! Marty W5MRM |

Hello everyone, Real good to hear, from all of you, it has been about fourteen years since I have been on the air. Buried both parents and all children are doing very well with their lives and families. Looking to rebuild my Ham Shack, as someone kind of borrowed my equipment on a permanent bases. So, slow but sure, I am, going forward with rebuilding my station. Sad, there is nothing local. :-( Guess, I will have to do some research, and a lot of driving. There used to be a Saturday morning get-together around breakfast time early AM. Does anyone know, if this is still happening?
