Cross' new Disaster Communications Vehicle. We'll be working HF and 2
Meters as AI5RC. Stop by and operate.

Family Preparedness Day
Description: What: American Red Cross Family Preparedness Day presented
by American Red Cross, Hispanic Volunteer Committee
A FREE well identified expo consisting of dozens of exhibit booths and
other designated areas, where participants can walk around and benefit
from exhibits - health, preparedness and family oriented topics.
Door prizes will be raffled on an hourly basis, this including but not
limited to CPR tuition certificate, First Aid kits, giveaways from
donors if available.
Family friends like the SAPD McGruff dog, corporate mascots and theme
park characters will be in attendance. The event will feature performers
of various art disciplines including music, puppet shows, folklore
dancing, story telling culminating with the performance of Tejano singer
When: Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Where: Historic Sunset Station located at Commerce Street and St. Paul
Why: In an effort to educate area residents on prevention and
preparedness for unexpected emergencies and disasters, the American Red
Cross, partners, volunteers, and sponsors are putting together this
event to will help educate, entertain, but best of all create
informative awareness that will ultimately help save thousands of lives.
