Gerry, I'll try this one more time - my fingers went bonkers and prematurely did an incomplete Send.

Are you referring to Winter Field Day coming up this month on Jan 29/30, or the Summer Field day in June?  Makes a huge difference!

For 2020 and 2021, ARRL had special rules where a club could operate from multiple locations and get some sort of credit. I have not looked to see if ARRL has released amy FD 2023 rules yet as it is somewhat early.

Most definitely a "Shack in a box" is most welcome at the main site. More than one clud member has such an arrangement that they can take to Field Day, JOTA, or anywhere else.

Ham Radio Happy Hour - tonight

Bill Craft

Hello SARC

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Tonight is going to be a HUGE and fun night with lots of great content for all of you.  We'll close out the night with a Ham Radio Happy Hour on my channel, like we've done for the past 2 years.

You can tune in via Facebook, Twitch or our YouTube Channel.

Thank you for being a part of the Ham Radio 2.0 Community.  I hope to see you in the chat today.

73 de KC5HWB

P.S. I have some great videos already lined up for 2022, starting with some "Best Of" videos about different topics inside of Amateur Radio.  These videos specifically target new Ham Radio Operators, and I have a playlist for all of these videos at this link, which I call the New Ham Workshop.  Check it out!

Informal Hams at the Park Get-Together January 8, 2022

Peter Carpenter

Larry Stewart, KG5RVR, asked me to pass along an invitation for us to get together at Brackenridge Park, probably at the Joske Pavilion, Saturday, January 8, at around 9:00am until lunchtime. It can be a dress rehearsal for Winter Field Day which I've heard (but don't have any details) is the last weekend in January. The get-together is not a formal field day event but is just an opportunity to bring your gear, share ideas, have some fun, and even have an informal cook-out or potluck. I plan to be there with my Yaesu FT-891 and a portable vertical antenna. For additional information and suggestions, please contact Larry at 210-710-6422.

Debra Hill, the widow of the silent key out by Medina Lake has sold everything thanks to SARC Trading Post and our extensive audience.
Someone came and bought all the remainder of his equipment yesterday. Y'all enabled her to have a Very Merry Christmas.
She appreciates all the support she got from ours and other radio clubs, making a difficult time easier.
