SARC Leadership,

You all may be aware of these changes already. I was not and it is extremely concerning for all Hams. See letter below.. I also placed a very bottom of email a copy of letter I sent to our ARRL Division Director. (I also sent one to our ARRL Vice Director). Later today I will be send a similar letter to our Senators and Congressman

I received an ERROR when submitting my application.  I left the two areas blank regarding AN EXTRA PERSON.  I went back and entered N/A and the application was accepted.  There was no indication that data was required in these two areas if the two areas were N/A.

Thanks for the opportunity to use PayPal and an online process.

I just paid the 2019 dues via the paypal link on the website. Very seamless and easy to use.

The only suggestion for improvement that I can make, is that there is no comment field or other means to identify who the renewal was for.

In my case, my family renewal includes my extra wife, Pat AD5BR, son David KD5MTJ, and myself N5NTG. But I could not enter that info.

But other than that issue, it was a great improvement over previous years and clubs.

I noticed in the latest QST that Curtis Swafford/W5PKE passed away in September.  We worked together at Randolph AFB and saw each other at ham fests and the local ham store, when we had one to visit.

I've been playing around with it a little over the last few months. Definitely cuts down on rig cost... And HOA antenna restrictions aren't a problem. But there's nothing like the real thing.

Don't have a radio? Here is a fix.

HamSphere
This system is based on two networks; HamSphere 3.0 and HamSphere 4.0. It allows licensed Ham Radio operators as well as unlicensed radio enthusiasts to communicate with each other. Both systems consist of 15 simulated shortwave bands and communication is done using client/server base. The product encourages unlicensed enthusiasts to get their own license. There is a significant difference between the two networks where the more advanced HamSphere 4.0 is a modular system where the operators design their own transceivers and communicate using NEC designed antennas (Numerical Electromagnetics Code) and realistic shortwave propagation. The 3.0 platform is targeting mostly beginners. HamSphere is subscriber funded and offers a 30 day trial. The subscription can be either 3 months or 1 year, recurring or non-recurring and costs less than 10 cents per day. For more info on HamSphere subscriptions, click here! https://www.hamsphere.com/subscribe.php

HamSphere 4.0 also comes as an Android version as seen on the left based on the same modular plug-in design. It is using the same network, but with a different set of antennas and functionality.
