The San Antonio Radio Club Amateur Radio Fiesta, January 12, 2008

The new location worked out great! The club would like to thank
everyone who made the trip to San Antonio. This year the weather was
perfect and the attendance was up!

We hope to see you again next year. Always on the second Saturday in
January. Mark your calenders now for January 10th 2009!

KD5YZU, Erik Rabe, Sr provided 40 meter talk-in and checked into nets
with his mobile command post. From Bexar County ARES, Shane O'Neal,
NS5D, delivered the San Antonio Red Cross ECRV to the event.

VE Coordinator, Pat Knight, AD5BR reports that we have four new
Technicians, three upgraded Generals and one upgraded Extra!

AMSAT , MARS and the ARRL had tables at the event. AMSAT provided
live satellite demonstrations.

The Sign Man of Baton Rouge , Jubilee Enterprises and HF Projects
had a steady stream of customers and the club would like to thank
them for coming to the event year after year.

The San Antonio Radio Club event has always been popular with
Radioaficionados (Amateur Radio Operators) from both sides of the Rio

The San Antonio Radio Club was honored to have the President of
ARARM , XE2OZ, Jose Lopez Solis attend. ARARM (The Asociacion De
Radioaficionados De La Republica Mexicana) is a national organization
supporting Amateur Radio in Mexico.

Also in attendance XE2MZQ Jose Andres, ARARM State Representative
from Nuevo Leon and XE2NBW, Luis Carlos Yepiz, a technical writer for
