Well, Bulverde is pretty. Son of a friend of mine is Fire Chief there. Been mainly on IRLP and AllStar lately, and hang out on .37 2 mtr repeater. Been inactive for quite a while.

Hi Larry, I trust you are doing well. It has been a spell since we crossed paths. We moved to Bulverde in 1997. Being hill country, I rarely get on the local repeaters anymore.

Operates doesn't mean carries At all times in the car 😉 At any rate, it's never been an issue.
Good to hear from you. It's been decades. Good to see you're still around.

Don't believe you have to have radio in the car to have plates.

Great comments very much appreciated.
Thinking of getting plates for my car, but then I would need to purchase a radio.
Used to be N5WSW now W5JX.
Interesting knowing hurdles others have gone through.

I also ran into an issue with having radio op plates on multiple vehicles. One year when I had my vehicle inspection done on my car they wrote it up as if they inspected my
travel trailer. I didn't discover this until I got home and was going to renew my registration online. I ended up having to go back to the auto shop to get it sorted out. It took some explaining and re-explaining to get them to understand it. In the end, nothing
that couldn't be overcome. Just a minor inconvenience. |
