The closest store is HRO in the Dallas area. Main Trading Company is probably next closest in Paris, TX.
D-Star does exist in San Antonio. The website repeaterbook.com shows at least one VHF and 4 UHF repeaters in San Antonio. The VHF one is run by Alamo Area Repeater Organization (AARO) whose call sign is aa5ro.

Off topic a little.
Where is the closest Ham Radio store to purchase a good 2M/VHF/UHF radio?
And, how active is D-Star or is it D-Link, in SA?
Trying to slowly, rebuilt my ham shack.
Appreciate any, and all responses.
If its in Texas I will travel.
Otherwise, its looks like order on line. :-(
